We do not store your files
Uploaded files are read in memory solely to extract column statistics. No file content is written to disk or retained after your assessment completes. Your data never leaves the processing pipeline.
Assessment data retention
We keep assessment metadata — such as file name, date, elapsed processing time, and token usage — to improve our product and monitor performance. We do not save your original data file, regardless of tier.
Free tier: we do not save your full assessment results. Once you close your browser tab or navigate away, the detailed results are gone, and re-running the assessment is the only way to see them again.
Pro accounts: your full assessment results are saved so you can revisit them anytime from My Account.
Data sent to OpenAI
Column names and a representative sample of your data values (up to 30 values per column) are sent to OpenAI's API for AI analysis. Before any data is transmitted, we automatically scan for personally identifiable information (PII) — including email addresses, phone numbers, Social Security numbers, credit card numbers, person names, street addresses, and dates of birth — and mask detected values with placeholder tokens (e.g. [PII:EMAIL], [DLP:PERSON_NAME]). Comprehensive PII detection is powered by Google Cloud Sensitive Data Protection (DLP), covering both structural patterns and semantic PII such as names, addresses, and dates. OpenAI never sees your original PII values. This masking step runs on our servers before AI analysis begins. Data sent to OpenAI is used solely to generate your assessment and is subject to OpenAI's privacy policy.
Sampling methodology
We analyze a stratified sample of up to 150 rows from your dataset — drawn from the top, middle, and bottom of your file to ensure representative coverage. Up to 30 values per column are included in the sample. This approach is sufficient to identify data quality patterns and structural issues without processing your entire dataset.
Free tier — no account required
This applies to Free tier usage: we do not collect your name, email address, or any personal information. No login is required to use this tool.
Pro accounts
Creating a Pro account requires only an email address, used solely to send you a magic sign-in link. We do not collect your name, phone number, or any other personal details at signup. Your session is stored in your browser's local storage (not a cookie) so you stay signed in between visits. No password is ever created or stored.
Payment data
Stripe handles all payment processing directly — when you purchase a credit pack, your card details are entered on Stripe's own secure checkout page and never pass through our servers. We store only the transaction metadata Stripe provides after a successful purchase — the date, package purchased, amount paid, and credits granted — tied to your account, so you can view your purchase history.
Session data
This tool uses browser session storage — not cookies — to pass your prepared dataset between the upload and results pages. Session storage data is local to your browser and is cleared when your tab closes or when you start a new assessment. If you're signed in to a Pro account, your authentication session is stored separately in browser local storage, also not a cookie. Neither mechanism involves cookies of any kind.
Analytics and error monitoring
We use Umami, a cookieless analytics tool, to understand which features are used and improve the product. We use Sentry for error monitoring to help us identify and fix technical issues. Neither tool sets cookies on your browser.
